Commuting the Corridor with the 380Express

Is the 380 Express open to the public?

Yes. The 380 Express is a public transit service available to anyone traveling between Cedar Rapids, Coralville, and Iowa City. A new route going to North Liberty will begin on June 1.

Why are fares increasing to $4?

Since launching in 2018, the 380 Express has grown into a popular and reliable commuting option, now serving nearly 500 riders per day. To continue operating and expanding the service, additional local funding is needed. The updated $4 fare helps support continued service and future improvements.

Do I need to reserve a seat?

No reservations are required. Simply arrive at your stop, board the bus, and ride.

How can I find the stops?

Look for the white bus stop signs at each location and be ready to board near the sign.

Is the bus wheelchair accessible?

Yes. All 380 Express buses are fully accessible and equipped with a wheelchair lift and securement areas to accommodate riders with mobility needs.

Can you ride the 380Express with infants and small children?

Yes! The seats will have seatbelts that allow for car seats to be strapped in. There are also luggage compartments on the outside of the bus for storing strollers and other necessary equipment.

Can I bring a bike on the bus?

Up to three non-motorized bicycles can be stored in the compartments underneath the buses. However, bikes are not stowed securely so they may shift around slightly while the bus is driving and neither 380Express or Windstar Lines are responsible for any damage to bikes while stored on the buses. 

Will discounted passes still be available for University of Iowa staff and students, as well as Kirkwood students?

Yes, the University of Iowa Parking and Transportation will continue offering discounted 380Express passes for eligible staff and students, and Kirkwood will also continue providing passes for some students.
